Welcome!

Hello, parents and friends!

This is the site of my future classroom blog. Here, I will post information and fun tidbits pertaining to my classroom. I encourage you to get involved and give feedback as you wish. I love working with kids and I do my best everyday to make sure I am giving them my 110%.

We love to recycle!

Your trash is our treasure!!

Currently, we have some projects planned that require some of your trash. If you could be so kind as to collect these items ad bring them into the classroom, we would greatly appreciate it.

We are looking for:

Thank you so much!!

Welcome!

Hi, parents!

First off, I would like to introduce myself: My name is Megan Anne Covert and I am the toddler teacher hee at Providence Children's Academy. I was born in Detroit 27 years ago, but grew up in the Coral Springs area. I graduated from Douglas High School in 2000 and attended Florida Atlantic University for my Bachelor's degree. Originaly, I wanted to be a 9th grade Earth/Space Science teacher, but when that was taken out of the core curriculum a few years back, I opted to change my majors for Geology & Secondary Educaiton to Early Childhood Education. FAU didn't offer this program at the time so I decided to go for the Associate of Science program at Broward College. I will be graduating with all of my degrees in December of this year and am very excited to find my home at Providence Children's Academy. Working with toddlers is my ideal place, being that this is a time in their life where they do a great deal of learning. I like to be a part of this and each time they grasp a new skill, big or small, it's a great moment in both of our lives. If you ever have any questions, concerns, comments, suggestions, feedback - - anything - - feel free to talk to me inthe classroom or send me an email at meganannecovert@gmail.com. I hope that the time your child is in my class is a great experience for all!
